Virtual Tutoring
Could virtual tutoring be right for your child?
Key qualifications and requirements for my virtual tutoring option to be successful:
Your child’s academic level - 2nd to 5th graders would benefit from this over younger children
Your child’s targeted areas of need - specifically for math and reading, where your child has minor learning gaps or requires personalized support/varying instructional methods and/or tools
Engagement level - your child has the capacity for online interaction, can engage for 10-15 minutes at a time before a quick break, and reintegrate back into the lesson with minimal support
Technical requirements - your child has access to a computer/tablet/laptop, webcam, stable high-speed internet, and Google Meet as the meeting platform
Environmental requirements - your child has access to a quiet, distraction-free space, with ample room for materials and the computer/tablet/laptop
Support - as their parent/guardian, you are available to have your child prepared to learn and stay on track during sessions if/when necessary
Logistics - your family schedule allows for this type of learning, as it is more beneficial with consistency
Preparation - your family has at least 1-2 hours of initial time to dedicate to going over the materials, lesson plans, etc. with the teacher in-person before virtual sessions can begin
Hours and Pricing
Hours: My availablility for virtual tutoring is semi-flexible at the regular rate below. Currently, the availability would be Monday between 9am and 12pm and Friday between 9am and 2pm. Saturdays and Sundays upon request for an additional fee*.
Changes to availability will be communicated via website and email.
Pricing: Please note, there is a maximum of 50 minutes of time alloted per day per student. Prices are by session per day. For the purposes of my virtual tutoring, the subjects are reading and math.
1 Academic Subject
(Reading OR Math 1 session per day):
30 minutes - $35.00
2 Academic Subjects
(25 minutes for each on the same day/session):
50 minutes - $60.00
*Fee for Saturday/Sunday virtual tutoring is an additional $10.00 per session.
